Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 August 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Pressto Pty Ltd (ABN 11 664 389 468) ("Pressto", "we", "us", "our") for Mediamatch, the mobile app that connects journalists with verified sources.

By creating an account or using signed-in features you agree to these Terms and to the Mediamatch Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Mediamatch.

These Terms cover Mediamatch only. The Pressto AI PR platform is a separate product with its own Terms of Service, including paid subscriptions billed by Stripe. Mediamatch does not charge for access and has no in-app purchases.

2. The service

Journalists can claim or create a profile, publish callouts, review responses, and chat with accepted experts. Experts can build a profile, complete verification, browse matching callouts, send responses, and chat once a journalist says yes. Anyone can browse the public journalist directory without an account.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it current.
  • You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us if you lose access or see unauthorised use.
  • Journalist profiles in the directory may represent a real person compiled from public coverage. You may only claim a listing that is about you.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of callouts, responses, profile text, photos, chat, and other material you submit ("Your Content"). You grant Pressto a limited licence to host, display, and process Your Content so we can operate Mediamatch (including showing it to the other party on a callout or chat, and showing public profile fields in the directory).

You are responsible for Your Content. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, defame, or impersonate anyone.
  • Post spam, scams, or commercially abusive pitches that ignore a journalist's brief.
  • Upload sexual, hateful, or otherwise unlawful content.
  • Share another person's private contact details without permission.
  • Claim a journalist listing that is not yours.
  • Attempt to bypass verification, the quality check, blocks, or reporting.
  • Scrape the directory or use automated means to access Mediamatch without our written consent.
  • Interfere with the service or other users' access.

6. Reporting, blocking, and moderation

Mediamatch includes in-app tools to report content or users and to block another person. Blocking closes any open chat with that person and hides their callouts or responses from your feed. Reports go to our team at contact@heypressto.ai. We aim to review reports promptly and may remove content, suspend an account, or take other action we consider appropriate.

Expert responses may pass through an automated quality check. A low score is guidance for the journalist. It is not a legal finding, and it may be imperfect. We do not use Your Content to train foundation models unless you later opt in through a separate notice.

7. Journalist directory

The directory may list journalists who have never created a Mediamatch account. Those listings are based on publicly available journalism. They are not an endorsement, and we do not guarantee that every field is complete or current.

If a listing should not be public, use Request profile removal in the app or email us. Claiming a listing requires access to an email we can verify against that journalist.

8. Verification and LinkedIn

Connecting LinkedIn is optional and is used as an identity signal for source verification, not as the way you sign in. We may approve, delay, or reject verification based on the evidence you provide. "Verified" means we accepted the evidence for Mediamatch. It is not a professional licence.

9. Availability

We aim to keep Mediamatch available but do not guarantee uptime. Features may change. Support is available at contact@heypressto.ai.

10. Termination

You may delete your account in Settings, or request deletion on the web. We may suspend or end access if you break these Terms or misuse the service. Sections that should survive (including your content licence for copies already delivered, limitation of liability, and governing law) continue after termination.

11. Disclaimers and liability

Mediamatch is provided as is. Introductions, quotes, and meetings arranged through the app are between you and the other party. We are not a party to those conversations and do not guarantee that a journalist will use a source, or that a source's statements are accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pressto is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss. Our total liability for Mediamatch is limited to AUD 100, or any amount that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will change the date at the top and, for material changes, give notice in the app or by email. Continued use after the change means you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, stop using Mediamatch and delete your account.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Courts in Australia have exclusive jurisdiction, without limiting rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
