Our Commitment
Pressto Pty Ltd (ABN 11 664 389 468) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We continually work to improve the user experience of our platform and ensure it is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.
Standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those with visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
Measures We Take
Pressto takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Semantic HTML: We use proper heading structures, landmarks, and ARIA attributes to support assistive technologies
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard, with visible focus indicators
- Colour contrast: We maintain sufficient colour contrast ratios to meet WCAG 2.1 AA requirements
- Alternative text: Images and non-text content include descriptive alt text
- Responsive design: The platform is designed to work across devices and screen sizes, and supports browser zoom up to 200%
- Form accessibility: Form fields include associated labels, clear error messages, and instructions
- Consistent navigation: Page layouts and navigation patterns are consistent throughout the platform
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of the platform may have limitations:
- Some third-party content (e.g. embedded media articles) may not fully meet accessibility standards
- Certain advanced data visualisations may have limited screen reader support. We provide alternative text-based data where possible
- PDF exports may not be fully accessible in all cases
We are actively working to address these limitations and improve accessibility across the platform.
Assistive Technology Compatibility
Pressto is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS)
- Screen magnification software
- Speech recognition software
- Keyboard-only navigation
